This tiny village may be small, but it full of life! The Village of Flat Rock  is home to the Flat Rock Playhouse, which has top notch musicals and plays. Around the corner is the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic site. Tour his home, hiking trails and the farm. You can also visit the goats, descendants of Mrs. Sandburg’s goats, when they have their babies in the spring.

You will enjoy Rainbow Row. A series of shops including Flat Rock Bakery, gift shops, art galleries and restaurants. The old Flat Rock High school buildings have been turned into offices, a coffee shop, a movie theater, and 6 condos.

It is truly a special place to visit.
